The Web Applications WG will have a f2f meeting in Mandelieu France 20-21 October 2008. The group will meet in two separate rooms: one group will focus on the group's Widgets specs and the other group will focus on the group's other specs, mainly API specs.

This is the agenda page for the API part of the Web Applications WG's f2f meeting. The agenda for WG's Widgets meeting on these days is not included on this page but is available here.

Still thinking about timing, or nobody asked for anything specific

  • Element Traversal - prepare to wrap-up ElementTraversal for Proposed Rec (we should do an interop session)
  • XHR1 - Need to agree on the Last Call Disposition of Comments and need to integrate HTML5 event loop so it is more explicit when events are to be dispatched, especially for synchronous requests.
  • XHR2 - Need to resolve the issues which are being discussed on the public list. And whether we want to add more features. Also needs to be kept in sync with XHR1.
  • AC4CSR Maybe add Content-Language to the whitelist. Fix the preflight cache per Jonas' suggestion. Make it more clear how to use the algorithm for cross-site @font-face loading, cross-site <img> that is then drawn on <canvas>, etc.
  • XHR2 + AC4CSR: Figure out how to deal with "upload" events.
  • Testing: the XHR1, XHR2 and AC4CSR drafts are actively being implemented so they're effectively in CR now. To get the specs to the CR stage, we need test suites and somewhat more stable implementations. We also need to examine tests for each spec we have.
