Q1: What is the mobile Web?

Q2: Different kinds of applications? E.g. SMS apps, or Web apps: What are
the pro's and con's of different kinds of apps, from user, from developer,
from phone manufacturer point of view? What are the most appropriate
technologies to bridge the digital divide?

Each group should have a scribe and a presenter.

for the purpose of the workshop we are looking for affordable portable
device.


Mobile Web for developing countries:

- the Web accessed from a handheld device, and reasonably optimized for the
handheld device, which is used for access, and/or mobile usage context.

- a Web for 4 billion users.

- must work with affordable devices.

- for diverse devices.

- for hand-held device.

- connectivity options must include others beyond broadband.


Q2: What kind of technology - depends on the problem that needs to be
solved. We want them all, use as there is best fit.

ease and low cost of creating and publishing content is important.
