Description:
Are we targeting the correct readership with our document?

It seems as though what we write is perceived to be too simplistic.
Perhaps that is correct, but the question is, who are we writing for?

If we are writing for those who put together a small website, in the
thought of catching as broad a group as possible, then we should
continue, but preface the document with appropriate text.

If we are writing for those who are deeply involved in these
technologies, hoping to get the attention of those who would be making
websites that serve as highly visible examples to others, then we need
to rethink the level of knowledge we assume the reader must have.

The problem lies perhaps in the fact that only those who already care
about the issues read our document, yet they already know all this and
feel let down, because we are not offering anything new.

Suggestion:
I think we should preface the document with some information that makes
it clear that we are talking of basic principles that should be followed
and not some magic new way of making websites.
