ISSUE-27: 1.3.3.3 and 4.2 are contradictory

1.3.3.3 and 4.2 are contradictory

State:
CLOSED

Best Practices Document

Opened on:

Description:
We do not encourage Least Common Denominator, but, at the same time,
we assume that it is possible to create BP site without adaptation.
We may manage to walk a very thin line here, but there is no way
we can avoid looking foolish in front of developers here.
As usual the same problem. With reference to the discussion
BP-Web vs BP-Wireless and the fact that no
decision has been taken, there are two possibilities:

BP Web: This is not a issue. High end device will parse the content.
Other devices will be supported through adaptation. There\'s no need
to recommend any denominator.

BP Wireless: If you don\'t mandate adaptation, you can only admit
that Least Common Denominator is what one gets. The implication of this
is that BP is contemplating a practice that is widely regarded as
responsible for poor wireless apps.
