Description:
(I\'m raising this on behalf of Andrea and copying his latest e-mail here. -Sean)

when I joined the group I thought the group was meant to define best
practices for mobile sites. I later understood that the group was
about giving guidelines (or best practices) for web designers that
wanted to produce something that also worked on the mobile device. In
the spirit of the \"One Web\" and so on.

In this view, I still believe that there\'s space for services and
developers that will ONLY want to target mobile devices. Targeting
mobile devices only gives them a change to organize the site in a
better way than they would do if they are targeting the \"One Web\".
Why? Because they are restricting the field. I\'m not saying that a
\"One Web\" site won\'t be AS good or even better, I\'m just saying that
restricting the field there are good chances that you\'ll get a better
result.
With this in mind I thought that saying \"higher-quality\" would
diminish other services that are EXACTLY tailored for a \"wireless
experience\". Sites that will buy the .mobi domain and will want to
provide the BEST POSSIBLE WIRELESS EXPERIENCE.
