  • presentation of HP approach for REST access to USDL repository

Minutes

  • Intro Christian Hellinger -> Anika Huegle
  • recording: https://sap.emea.pgiconnect.com/p57975772/
  • Lukas from HP presented his ideas for establishing USDL-based REST access to service repositories (in this case to a proprietary repository from HP which does contain service descriptions not represented in USDL)
    • the idea was to not only standardize the language itself but also a protocol for accessing service repositories
    • the proposal presented an approach with REST/ATOM mapping
    • the proposal allows fine-granular access to parts of the repository's contents
    • standardizing the protocol would facilitate building tools, such as editors, to allow access to arbitrary repositories
    • a separate work stream should be established in the subsequent working group for USDL
