- It has been found important to make clear that the EXI profile offers a certain flexibility or freedom that may lead to different EXI streams.
For example it is possible to create built-in element grammars that can't evolve anymore. Nevertheless, it is still possible to use 2nd level productions tough. In some situations doing so may make the EXI stream larger. In other situations (e.g., empty element with EE right after SE) it turns out to be very beneficial.
