Some input from TK on the draft:

Discussed during 2009-07-08 telecon. We found that we have already given responses to all of the issues that he showed his interests to see the answers for, and it appears that we just need to compile and give him a list of past communications that we have worked on and are available. Carine pointed out that the issue number 2 is equivalent to the issue [1] that he raised separately and it seems we have already resolved it.

Summary of the telecon discussion (2009-10-07):
We can endorse John Cowan's rebuke on the character encoding issue. On the request for removing user-defined datatype representation feature, we need to present an example that need it. A good example would be X3D's use of geometry compression for vertices. Also, it may be worthwhile to mention that schema is about defining datatypes, and user-defined datatype representation has a distict role which is to permit the use of custom representation for datatypes.
