  • SMIL is an integrator language:
    • “Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language”
    • coordinates the display of other media in time
      • audio, video, graphics, texts
    • relies on other media formats for real display
  • W3C has defined two profiles:
    1. SMIL 2.0: the full set of possibilities
    2. SMIL 2.0 Basic: for simple devices
  • There are stand-alone implementations for Mobile devices
