- W3C has some non-XML technologies, too (WebCGM, PNG)
They are all fairly mature by now
Tools and implementations emerge for all of them
A challenge for coming years: integration
- usage of XML is the key
- example: integration of MathML, XHTML, and SVG in Amaya
