Playlist Modelling

Question: How to model segments? - covering tracklists, ... segmentations of programmes into sequenced parts.

Answer: By utilising the Playlist concept of the Play Back Ontology, which is intended to represent ordered lists that consists of media objects. This concept is a specialisation of the Ordered List concept of the Ordered List Ontology. It enables to represent a sequence of items by separating the sequence description from the items the ordered list contains (by introducing a Slot concept that has an index and is related to (an) item object(s)). An example of a music playlist can be found here.
