This is (will be) a public resource for participants in W3C groups to help them get work done. It is intended for all types of groups and all types of participants.

For Chairs primarily

    • Get started
    • Plan project resources and milestones
    • Organize and run a meeting
    • Advance from draft toward W3C Recommendation
    • Make decisions as a group
    • Secure and respond to review
    • Collaborate with other groups

For Editors primarily

    • Publish a document (including publication requirements)
    • Tools for editors

For all Participants

    • Get involved in current work
    • Propose new work
    • Make good use of tools and infrastructure
    • Develop community
    • Promote and publicize work
    • Work with the patent policy

For Test Development

    • Use available tests
    • Contribute a test

About this Resource

There are two primary sorts of resources linked from here:

    1. Good practices. This information is editable (in a wiki) by anyone with a W3C account.
    2. Operations. These are operational descriptions edited by the W3C staff.

Some ideas to make this easy to use

    • Signposts for differences (e.g., "For CGs").
    • Search or index (don't want to manually manage multiple overlays)
    • Stack-overflow type FAQ tool
