Preamble

Chair to start the meeting by typing on irc: 

trackbot, start meeting

Trackbot should already be on the channel but if for some reason it is not call it with the following command: 

/invite trackbot

Zakim won't know what meeting it is. Just ignore it. Pick a scribe from the list or ask Zakim to pick one up with the following command: 

Zakim, pick a victim

Unfortunately Zakim has no idea who's scribed before so you may have to ask several times before getting an acceptable answer...

Then type: 

scribe: xxx

Also, with WebEx, Zakim doesn't know who is on the call so, as people join they should record their attendance with the command: present+ <nickname>

Activity Streams 2.0

AS Publication status

Update per:

  • We resolved to publish AS WDs (Socialwg/2015-09-15-minutes) with the new W3C Software & Document license. The editor subsequently ran into issues with W3C publication systems not being ready for the new W3C license. As of last week Socialwg/2015-09-29-minutes some W3C systems issues were resolved, others were in progress.

What are the remaining W3C systems issues?

  • Taking AS 2.0 to Candidate Recommendation
    • What are the steps needed to make AS 2.0 a CR? What do we do if we can't take those steps?

appear to be broken (404). Could we get this fixed?

AS 2.0 Vocabulary relevance for terms required for Social API and Federation

  • Q: Does AS 2.0 Vocabulary need to include all the terms used by Social API or Social API will define independent vocabulary?
    • first, prev, next, last, itemsPerPage, current, startIndex seem only relevant to data access via API not logical structure of the data (as 2.0: Collection)
  • Q: Does AS 2.0 Vocabulary need to include all the terms used by Federation or Federation will define independent vocabulary?
    • to, cc, bto and bcc seem only relevant for distribution of notifications which may belong to Federation (AS 2.0: Audience Targeting)

      • Last week brought https://indiewebcamp.com/post-type-discovery to the WG for consideration as a WG Editor's Draft (one week review) to complete action 35 and resolve issue 4
      • Updated it with explicit "Participation" section in header as requested by WG, using wiki and IRC,
      • Proposed plan: Use W3C Wiki for WG Editor's draft and W3C Social Web github for W3C Draft issue discussions rather than email (same as ActivityStreams does in its header)
