Isn't that the idea? I mean, the whole point here is that they're not 
"perfectly" legal, they're only legal to the extent that there are cases 
where they are arguably useful, but in general they shouldn't be used.

(Personally I prefer to express this by saying they're not legal and just 
making validators make less of a fuss over these errors than over regular 
errors, but I can live with the idea of having them be conforming but with 
a warning if that's generally more palatable to the group.)
