Proposal to close ISSUE-19: Adressing more error cases, as is

Hi again,

Although I believe this issue was well intended the reality is that it 
came without any concrete proposal or even specificity we could consider. 
To make matters worse the issue was raised by Olivier Berger who is no 
longer a member.

Given how little time we have left I propose we accept that we won't do 
anything about it and close it. If anyone wants the specification to be 
more prescriptive about a specific error case I suggest they raise a new 
issue for that specific case.

At this point in the game we need to keep our issues crisp and actionable.
