ACTION-182 and Issue-27

>ACTION-182: Followup with Mark Nottingham about the status of the IANA registry needed for Issue-27
>http://www.w3.org/html/wg/tracker/actions/182

At this week's HTML WG weekly meeting [1] we discussed the status of the creation of the IANA registry required for resolution of Issue-27:
http://www.w3.org/html/wg/tracker/issues/27

At the meeting and in the email below Julian reported that the registry is being setup and recommended that we be ready to populate the registry with initial data. At the WG meting it was noted that both Ian and Lief had signed up to populate the registry when it was available.

Can you give us a definitive timeline for when the IANA registry will be available?

IANA is currently setting up the registry, but appears to be kind of
slow at it (potentially due to the unorthodox requirements).

The state of the spec can be monitored at
<http://www.rfc-editor.org/queue2.html#draft-nottingham-http-link-header>.

People interested in testing the registry may want to get their specs
and registration templates ready so that they can be submitted once the
registry is up.
