WebVTT cue settings https://w3c.github.io/webvtt/#cue-settings "A WebVTT alignment cue setting configures the alignment of the text within the cue. The keywords are relative to the cue text’s lines' base direction; for left-to-right English text, "start" means left-aligned." i suspect the second sentence ought to say "The start and end keywords are relative to the cue text’s lines' base direction; for left-to-right English text, "start" means left-aligned."
