In smpte + continuous mode, the spec should clarify what the implicit syncbase is; as it stands this mode is not different to media mode.
It has been interpreted that in this mode the syncbase should be the external time interval for all elements, rather than the immediate parent/sibling so that nesting is not significant. Also should non 12M syntax be disallowed in this mode?
