Re: CFC - Purpose of Controls SC

AGWG’ers,

As we have received substantially positive feedback leading up to this CfC and one objection (https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-wai-gl/2017JulSep/0797.html).

Regarding the objection, the concerns were discussed by the Working Group and the consensus of the group was that receiving public feedback about the proposed SC was important and that we expect that we would receive additional feedback about the primary concerns raised in the objection (availability of tooling to support the SC, localization concerns).

The result of this CfC that the proposal is agreed on as a consensus opinion of the working group.

Call For Consensus — ends Monday August 21st at 7:00pm Boston time.

The Working Group has reviewed and approved a new Success Criteria for inclusion in the Editor’s Draft: Purpose of Controls, at AA, with the goal of obtaining additional input external to the working group.
