RE: ISSUE-2339: definition of azimuth, elevation for feDistantLight [SVG 1.1 F2 Last Call]

Hi SVG WG,

I was given ACTION-2816 [1] to investigate the issue of the azimuth and elevation definition for feDistantLight [2] as noted by Dr Hoffmann [3]. I'd like to discuss the issue at the telcon this week please. Below are a few points on the issue.

 * My opinion is the specification could be a bit more clear so I agree with Dr Hoffmann.

 * As part of the action I created a test (filters-light-05.svg) [4] and ran it on the following implementations to see if they all implement the 'elevation' attribute the same way.
   - Opera
   - Firefox
   - Chrome
   - ASV
   - Inkscape
Note my version of Safari failed the test outright (although that could be because I wasn't running it on a MAC).

The results are:
   - For feDiffuseLight all implementations agree on the vector direction for the different four cases
   - For feSpecularLight Opera, FF, Chrome are all the same. Inkscape produces a different result for the "270 deg" case and ASV3 doesn't render anything for those cases.
   - For feDiffuseLight + feSpecularLight all implementations agree except for Inkscape which produces a different result for "270 deg" case.

 * I've devised some new wording to make the definition more clear and created a diagram to put in to the specification. The new wording and diagram can be found in the master version of the specification [5].

Thanks,
Anthony
