RE: W3C face to face meeting in Barcelona, April 22 - meeting minutes

Hi all,

In addition to the minutes below and the comments about making them public, please provide input if you have any regarding the minutes of the meeting.

As you can all probably figure Andy and I are your co-chairs . If there are any objections to this please do speak up.

Lastly, beyond the Vehicle Data Web API spec the group discussed the possibility of researching and coming up with some use cases for the following 3 topics:

1) Navigation - see http://www.w3.org/TR/2012/PR-geolocation-API-20120510/ (Geolocation API)

2) Security of Web Apps - see http://www.w3.org/TR/2013/WD-runtime-20130321/ (Runtime and Security Model for Web Apps)

3) Speech (VR/TTS) - see https://dvcs.w3.org/hg/speech-api/raw-file/9a0075d25326/speechapi.html (Web Speech API from a W3C Community Group)

I would like to hear your thoughts on which 1 or at most 2 topics the group should focus on and I would like to see someone lead (or co-lead) each of the one(s) the group chooses to go with. Are we missing another topic?

As Andy mentioned below please do let us know if there are topics that need to be addressed at the Tokyo F2F meeting. Right now we definitely need to recap and cover as much as possible from the Barcelona F2F.

Hirabayashi-san you mentioned having someone give a presentation, if so please provide more information to the group on the topic and the speaker. Thank you.

Lastly, do we need to have a conf call before the Tokyo F2F? Any specific topics that we need to cover? There were some AR's taken and we should probably get a status on them either on the conf call and/or over email.

We're at 76 members! Wow! We're the 7th largest group and only 11 more members to over the #5 position.

Sincerely,
Adam

Hi all,

Phillip has done a great job of cleaning up the minutes, and they're now available here: https://www.w3.org/2013/04/22-auto-minutes.html

If you have any comments about the veracity of what is recorded, please respond to this thread and we will make sure they get cleaned up.

Adam and I have just started discussing an agenda for the Tokoyo meeting. We have some ideas, but if anyone else has some feedback on what they would like to see or other topics that could be valuable, please let us know.
