I do enjoy Shane's rants... especially because they almost always cut to
the heart of an issue.

We are spending an extraordinary amount of time discussing something
that has not been reported as a problem to this group by implementers or
authors of RDFa markup.

Furthermore, it is now crystal clear that this is an editorial issue and
absolutely should not block us from Last Call. We can debate how we
present the conceptual model all we want, but it's not going to change
implementations one iota.
