First comment: Comments are line-terminated, but you have not defined your line terminators. Are they the same as the characters that are normalized by XML 1.0? by XML 1.1? Second comment: Established practice in languages has moved away from line-terminated comments. This is out of step with many W3C recommendations, such as XML and XQuery. Languages that originally had only line-terminated comments subsequently decided that they need delimited comments (SQL, for example). Fred Zemke
