CfC: publish CR drafts of HTML Media Capture, Ambient Light Events, and the Vibration API, respond by 21 August 2014

This is a Call for Consensus (CfC) to publish the HTML Media Capture, Ambient Light Events, and the Vibration API drafts as Candidate Recommendation (CR) working drafts.

There have been no comments received during the Last Call period for HTML Media Capture [1] or Ambient Light Events [2], so these will be published with no changes from the Last Call drafts apart from an update to the status section noting that there have been no changes since the Last Call publication.

There was one clarification comment (comment & disposition [3]) received on the Vibration API draft [4]. The proposal to address this comment was accepted on today’s call and will be incorporated into the CR publication draft. The status section of CR publication of the Vibration API will be updated to list this sole change and provide a link to an updated red-line.

Each of the three drafts will note that the draft is anticipated to become a W3C Recommendation and "will advance to Proposed Recommendation no earlier than 1 November 2014” (note that this is the earliest possible date). Each will also include the following status section text:

“The CR exit criterion is two interoperable deployed implementations of each feature. No features are marked as 'at-risk'. The group will create an Implementation Report (link).” (with appropriate link for each)

Please indicate support or concern regarding the CfC by replying to this message by 21 August - silence will be considered agreement (explicit agreement, even just a +1 preferred). Earlier responses would be helpful.

Assuming no issues and a successful transition request, I would anticipate publication 28 August 2014 and with earliest possible transition to PR (crEnd) 1 November 2014.

Please note that we will continue to progress these drafts under the old W3C process, given there is no advantage to switch at this point.

Thanks

regards, Frederick
