The rationale for stopping work on the HTML for Web Authors spec was provided in:
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html/2013May/0016.html

"HTML5: Edition for Web Authors" serves a useful purpose, but it does not seem useful to publish it as a document on its own. Rather, we can use a style switcher in the specification and toggle the view. Steve has been working on that."

The Chairs are attempting to determine the status of the "style switcher" work. If it exists we may be able to use that as our response to the TAG?
