Call for Participation in Web Payments Charter Development Community Group

The Web Payments Charter Development Community Group has been launched:

This group is setup as a follow-up on the W3C Web Payments Workshop that took place 23-24 March 2014. The workshop participants advocated W3C to launch a dedicated steering group (W3C Interest Group) to engage further in the development of core standard technologies to better support payments on the Web.
This community group is a first step in that direction, and will host the discussions around the future charter of the interest group. The objective is to ensure that all stakeholders are able to provide inputs on the role and actions of the future group, and to ensure that a critical mass of representatives from the different stakeholder groups are ready to engage in this work.

This group will not publish specifications.

In order to join the group, you will need a W3C account.

This is a community initiative. This group was originally proposed on 2014-05-05 by Stéphane Boyera. The following people supported its creation: Stéphane Boyera, Dave Raggett, Wendy Seltzer, Manu Sporny, timothy holborn. W3C’s hosting of this group does not imply endorsement of its activities.

The group now has access to W3C-hosted services for email, blog, wikis, irc, tracking tools, and more. Read more about tools and services available by default and upon request.

If you believe that there is an issue with this group that requires the attention of the W3C staff, please send us email on site-comments@w3.org

Thank you,
W3C Community Development Team
