Let’s have our next show-and-tell/business meeting on May 15. To make life easier for those in Europe, I’d like to schedule this meeting a bit earlier in the day than last time, at 9:00 am PST. Also, we need to move forward on electing a chair for the group. I think we can take care of the nominations via email in advance of the meeting. Please send a message to the group if you wish to nominate someone or offer yourself as a nominee. Finally, if you have something to demo, please let me know directly.

Big Data Community Group Launched

The W3C announced the launch of a new community group on Big Data, which seems to me would naturally have a fair amount of overlap with HPC concerns. It seems worth connecting with them. Their site is at http://www.w3.org/community/bigdata/.

W3C Developer Conference during SC

If the activities in Seattle surrounding the SC ’11 conference aren’t enough for you, you might consider hopping over to Redmond for the W3C’s first developer conference. It takes place November 15 and 16. Early bird registration runs through October 31.
