Introduction

WAI welcomes the participation of organizations from around the world in activities that help improve accessibility of the Web.

Implementing Guidelines

Use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 to make your Web site accessible. If you develop software, implement the Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 or User Agent Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (for browsers, multimedia players, and assistive technologies).

Promoting Awareness

Participating in WAI Groups

Browse the home pages of WAI interest groups and working groups. Some groups focus on general discussion; others develop technical specifications or educational resources. The groups' charters explain how to join.

Sponsorship

WAI's work is supported in part by sponsorship from industry and government organizations interested in ensuring that the Web becomes more accessible.
