Availability of digital information through the Web holds great
promise for people with disabilities. The World Wide Web Consortium
is promoting a high degree of usability through the Web Accessibility
Initiative. WAI actions concern five primary areas of work : technology,
guidelines, tools, education and outreach, and research and development.
INRIA, the
institute that leads W3C in Europe, takes a significant part in
the WAI actions. Daniel Dardailler, Project Manager for the Web
Accessibility Initiative, works at W3C/INRIA site in Sophia Antipolis.
