Alternative Conference Publishing Venues

From Research and Development Working Group Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

This wiki page is to capture our thoughts - and a set or rules for our interactions with Alternative Conference (or journal) Publishing Venues. We must always consider that it is our intention to make sure the RDWG Note is the pre-eminent citable authority.

Assertions

  1. Publications at alternate venues are purely to support and publicise a specific note and the seminar papers it refers to.
  2. There is no compulsion on either the editors or authors to publish at an alternate venue, or to be named on any publication (for whatever reason) on which they do not wish to be acknowledged.
  3. Alternative publications must not occur within 1 year of the symposium or 6 months of the publication of the note.
