Monitoring new a11y bugs

From HTML accessibility task force Wiki

A member of the Bug Triage team is tasked with monitoring new bugs filed against the HTML5.x specifications. Any bugs relating to accessibility are reviewed on the weekly Bug Triage telecon.

Monitoring process

These steps should be carried out on a weekly basis. If it has been longer than a week since the last review, the Bugzilla search filter will need adapting accordingly.

  1. Review all bugs filed during the last seven days
  2. Make a note of any bugs that may fulfill the a11ytf keyword criteria, and the action the Bug Triage team should take (for example "Discuss on call" or "Assign a11ytf keyword)
  3. Email this to the public HTML A11y mailing list ahead of the Bug Triage meeting
