This is unnecessary. HTML5 elements are written terms of WAI-ARIA host language semantics and ARIA 1.1 is working to add additional roles to fill the gaps. So, from this perspective the approach is to move to closer to a 1:1 mapping between HTML5 element semantics to ARIA semantics.
