• Opear 5.02, on Win98

WebReview says it should work on:

• for windows 95/98/NT
  • Nav6
  • IE5.5
  • Opera 3, 4, 5
• For Macintosh
  • Nav6
  • IE5

With the following note:

IE3 incorrectly applies :first-letter styles to the entire element

Since this is using span, it should work on a wider variety of browsers.
