This list updated after each teleconference call. The most recent scribe is placed at the end of the list.
Scribing Directions
We use IRC (Internet Relay Chat) to scribe ERT WG meetings. Software robots (aka "IRC bots") help manage the agenda, action items, and to generate HTML minutes from the IRC log. See IRC Help for more information on IRC.
Please follow these steps when you are the scribe:
- Before the meeting:
- Please join the meeting a few minutes earlier if you are on scribe duty
- Initialize the meeting by typing
/trackbot, start meeting
into the IRC channel - Load each agenda item into Zakim by tryping
agenda+ <agenda item from e-mail>
- Minuting discussions:
- You do not need to scribe every verbatim but only the essence of what is being said
- For example:
shadi: resolution in previous meeting minutes
- Record action items:
action: <complete but minimal summary of the action item>
- Record resolutions:
RESOLUTION: <description of resolution>
(note the caps)
- After the meeting
- Close the meeting by typing
/trackbot, end meeting
into the IRC channel
- Close the meeting by typing
