Subject: SOFTWARE: Imagizer v1.1.5 [update]
Date: 2 Apr 1995 13:21:57 -0700

Imagizer v1.1.5 is now available.

Imagizer is a real-time image conversion program for your
Web pages. Via its cgi-bin interface, images can be
interlaced, made transparent, scaled, and a host of other
features, all in real-time. Imagizer can even inline TIFF
images!

Version 1.1.5 now includes caching. Once an image has been
converted, it is cached, then subsequent access are instantaneous.

What does Imagizer mean for you or your customers?
You can conserve space as well as bandwidth.
If thumbnails are needed, Imagizer can build them for you,
on-the-fly. There is no need to store multiple sizes of the
same image any more.

Have some TIFFs you want to use on the Web? Don't bother
converting them, Imagizer can send those over the Web
and any browser can view then, inline!
Have GIFs you've created, but now want them interlaced and
transparent, don't bother using other "utility" programs,
Imagizer can do it all, and in real-time, ultimately
saving you disk storage, bandwidth, time, and money!

A demo of Imagizer as well as downloadable trial versions
are available.

Subject: [ANNOUNCE]: Imagizer v1.1.0 (New Release)
Date: Thu, 09 Feb 1995 23:41:50 -0800

Imagizer v1.1.0 has been released!

Introduction:

Welcome to Imagizer(tm), the easy to use software for World Wide Web page
development. Imagizer allows a Web provider or developer to greatly
reduce the amount of time needed in presenting high-quality images on
the World Wide Web. It allows for the real-time processing of GIF
images for the presentation of Web pages. What this means is that
imagery can exist on your system in its original form, no special
handling needs to be done to them, and Imagizer can convert them
on-the-fly as a user requests the image.

In addition to real-time image processing, Imagizer also doubles as an
image processing utility, allowing you to quickly take GIF images and
add transparency, interlacing, and scale the images, allowing for
easy batch mode processing.

Imagizer allows for the real-time manipulation of GIF images in several ways:

    * Images can be interlaced

    * Images can be made transparent

    * Selection of color to be made transparent

    * Images can be scaled vertically, horizontally, or both

    * The scaling routine also allows for a "fast" or "high quality" mode

    * Real-time creation of JPEG preview image from a GIF image

In łutility˛ mode, Imagizer can do all of the above from the command
line for single image conversion, or batch image conversions.
