Realizations: (1) IPR objects differ in how they are valued and how they should be protected and (2) multiple IPR management and protection (ECMS) products will exist.
Goals: (1) Make copyright compliance easy, and (2) allow multiple ECMS's to co-exist in a shared Web marketplace.
For example,
I should be able to find all available images of Waldo on the Web, regardless of ECMS, upon finding one, I (or my browser) should be able to know the conditions of use and how to comply. (Perhaps the low-res image I find is free, but the hi-res version can be purchased for $X, and I need the Y ECMS player.)
