This presentation only shows a small selection of all the modules of CSS. There are many more than we have time for here. Some of them are already quite stable and have implementations (e.g., css3-page, css3-flexbox), some others have experimental implementations to play with (e.g., some parts of css3-gcpm and css3-layout), and others are barely more than ideas.

The selection starts with the parts of CSS that are considered most stable. The stable parts include level 2 and a few modules of level 3, but we assume you already know level 2. The stable parts are W3C Recommendations or W3C Candidate Recommendations that the CSS working group believes can be implemented with very little fear of future changes.

Some of the other modules are Candidate Recommendations, too, which means W3C recommends people to implement them (and send feedback), but the implementations are still rare and incomplete. You are recommended to try these modules, but be aware that they may not work in all your software yet.

The rest are only Working Drafts and there are at most experimental implementations. We hope you will soon be able to use these modules, but at the moment you should not, unless it is to experiment.
