Media-dependent styles

Depending on the type of browser you are viewing this with, you will see different styles. In fact, some browsers can emulate different media. They offer, e.g., a print preview, handheld preview and a projection mode.

• screen: in a typical graphical browser on a desktop PC, this will have many colors and a background image. The layout has two columns.
• print: when printed, this will use a black&white style, with a single column and ample margins.
• handheld: on a handheld device, the layout will be a single column and quite compact. Even the list bullets are made to take up less space.
