Using the XML Query Language
Query should be usable on documents without a schema.
If a schema is available it should be possible to use it to check query correctness.
Queries should incorporate variables from a local context.
It should be possible to run queries from several environments/contexts.
Ability to name, store and retrieve queries.
Support for annotating XML documents.
