Issues with <meta>

• Uncontrolled name space (prior to 4.0)

• Ad-hoc structure in names

  • e.g. “DC.Creator.Address.Email”

• Ad-hoc structure in values

• Awkward for higher-order statements

• Could develop conventions for machine-understandable profiles (new 4.0 feature)
