3 Conformance Requirements and Recommendations

(This section will describe all of the various things that a conforming SVG processor needs to do. Work on this section has just begun. It is expected that this section will have considerable detail in the final version of the specification.)

Here is a running list of things to put into this section:

• The parent of the SVG processor should pass enough information to the SVG processor so that it can figure out device resolution.
• The baseline for acceptable commercial SVG viewer quality is bicubic resampling of images. (But we'll need to provide algorithms.)
