W3C Member Submission Request: SPARQL Update - A language for updating RDF graphs

We, W3C Members Hewlett-Packard, Freie Universitat, DERI Galway at the National University of Ireland, Oracle Corporation, Talis Information Systems Ltd., Garlik Ltd., OpenLink Software Inc., INRIA, Computas AS, Semsol, hereby submit to the Consortium the following specification, comprising the following document(s) attached hereto:

  1. SPARQL Update - A language for updating RDF graphs

which collectively are referred to as "the Submission". We request the Submission be known as the SPARQL Update Submission.

The submitting organizations we represent hereby grant to the W3C a perpetual, nonexclusive, royalty-free, world-wide right and license under any copyrights on this contribution, to copy, publish and distribute the contribution under the W3C document licenses.

The submitting organizations we represent on the W3C Advisory Committee agree to offer licenses according to the W3C Royalty-Free licensing requirements described in section 5 of the 5 February 2004 W3C Patent Policy for any portion of the Submission that is subsequently incorporated in a W3C Recommendation.

Required proprietary technology

There is no proprietary technology covered by this submission.

Suggested action

The submission is intended to contribute to any future planning for work in rechartering the RDF Data Access Working Group or other Working Group continuing to develop SPARQL.

Resources

The submission is contributed for discussion. Decisions on resources by submitting members will be made if a future Working Group is chartered.
