ISSUE-125: Non-rectangular slots

Non-rectangular slots

State:
RAISED
Product:
CSS3 Template Layout
Raised by:
Bert Bos
Opened on:
2010-05-31
Description:
It is in theory not harder, in the sense of computationally less efficient, to flow text into a non-rectangular slot. It's the same as flowing text around floats. But it is no doubt more difficult to program. Should non-rectangular slots be allowed? E.g.,

display:
"aaa"
".aa"
"aaa"

Related notes:

This can also be achieved (in all cases?) with chained regions, see the 'chains' property.
