During the first day of the workshop, participants suggested a number of topics that might be interesting to add to the agenda. Given the limited time available, we used a show of hands to determine which topics would be most popular, and then set up "Birds Of a Feather" (BOF) sessions after the normal workshop day had ended for people who wanted to participate in these workshops. Suggested topics included a simplified profile of Z39.50, short-term agreements among Web "spiders", intellectual property issues, and business models. In the end, only the first two of these topics turned into BOFs.
