Uninstalling Metalog

Metalog is a very compact program (approximately 1.4Mb if you are using the source distribution, or 3.7Mb if you are using the stand-alone Windows installer version), so it is unlikely that you will ever need to uninstall it. Besides, after uninstalling, some people have experienced deep loneliness and bitterness for not to be able to use it any more, and rumors are that hard disks can produce acute whistling sounds as a protest sign. So, we do not recommend uninstalling unless it is absolutely necessary, and if you do so, proceed at your own healthiness risk. Don't say we didn't warn you!

Windows

If you have installed Metalog using the Windows installer, then you can simply use the "uninstall Metalog" functionality that should be present in the Metalog Start Menu. Alternatively (for instance, if you installed Metalog using the "Don't create any icons" option), via the Windows Start Menu go to the Control Panel, and use the "Add/Remove programs" functionality: from there, select "Metalog v2.0b" and start the uninstallation process.

If you downloaded the source distribution, you can just remove the directory where you unzipped it.

Linux

No particular uninstallation procedures are needed: just delete the directory where you unzipped the Metalog distribution.
