Topics for this period

New draft QA Framework: Specification Guideline

The new QA Framework: Specfication Guideline, known as SpecGL, was published for review and comment. The status section of the document identifies the issues and type of feedback that the WG is soliciting.

SpecGL discussions lead to publication of document

In the effort to publish the QA Framework: Specification Guideline, several issues discussed and resolved. Topics included new and refined definitions for use case, user scenario [1] and strict conformance [2]; clarification of modules, profiles, and levels in a specification [3], rules for defining profiles [4], and divisibility of modules [5].

Questionnaire on Specification Authoring

A thread about structured grammars to enhance the testability of specifications and facilitate building test materials gave rise to the development of a questionnaire soliciting input from WG chairs. The objective is to determine whether there is a set of common tools and techniques that might help authors, and that might warrant further QAWG attention

Confomance vs. Compliance

This discussion started a question asked of the WG - " Does the QA WG consider the terms "conformance" and "compliance" interchangeable?" The WG encourages the use of the term conformance
