WAP-W3C Mobile Web Privacy Workshop
7-8 December 2000
Munich City Hilton, Munich, Germany
AGENDA
With the growth of the Web to include mobile access and service options, it
is now necessary to develop a consistent approach to privacy protection that
enables both users and service providers to build trust and confidence in user
relationships throughout both the wired and wireless Web. This workshop will
identify steps WAP & W3C should take to assure that the standards
facilitating mobile Web services have the architectural capacity to address
the unique privacy issues arising out of mobile access to the Web. Recognizing
that a comprehensive approach to privacy for both fixed and mobile Web
services requires cooperation among those designing the underlying
architecture and standards, W3C and the WAP Forum have agreed to organize this
workshop jointly.
