I have heard that you are heavily involved in efforts to redefine HTML (5.0?) as XML, so I hope this query/suggestion is well-directed: Some of us are upset at the prospect that MSXML/MSXSL will tend to turn HTML into the new RTF, instead of into something in some way reflecting the structure and semantics of the source XML. >From what I've read about HyTime's architectural forms, they're DTD features that facilitate cross-DTD transformation with minimal information loss. If HTML 5.0 were to be fitted out with architectural forms, would an XSL processor have an easier time "doing the right thing" with XML instances - if the latter also had architectural forms? Say, MS Office 99 documents?... __________________ Todd Fahrner mailto:fahrner@pobox.com http://www.verso.com/agitprop/
