New W3C India Office launched at the “World Wide Web: Technology Standards and Internationalization Conference”

The launch ceremony and the subsequent conference focused mostly on the use of Web andĀ  Web technology to promote India’s development. Key technologies in this context are internationalization, mobile Web, voice Web and WAI. W3C CEO Jeff Jaffe outlined the future of the Web and stressed the importance of having Indian organizations on board. More than 500 participants visited the very successful event. Beside Jeff Jaffe W3C team was
represented by Phil Archer, Klaus Birkenbihl and Richard Ishida at the event.
