  • Web Services Architecture: will produce a reference model for WS
  • XML Protocol (SOAP): format to transmit data, also in RPC
  • Web Services Description (WSDL): describe interfaces to ws
  • XML Signature, Encryption, Key Management, Schemas, etc,

    are also essential!
